PANTOKRATOR Begins Recording New Album

Swedish death metallers PANTOKRATOR have entered a studio outside Halmstad, Sweden to begin recording their new album, "Aurum", for a tentative March/April 2007 release on Whirlwind Records. The production duties are being handled by Rickard Bengtsson, who has previously worked with ARCH ENEMY and SPIRITUAL BEGGARS, among others.

In other news, Momentum Scandinavia has released a compilation album featuring music from all PANTOKRATOR releases to date — from the first demo tape to the promotional recordings for the upcoming CD. It also contains two newly recorded versions of old songs and a cover of a band that inspired the group "back in the day." Strictly limited to 850 copies and featuring a 12-page silver-on-black embossed booklet, the CD can be obtained at www.momentumscandinavia.com.

PANTOKRATOR's debut album, "Blod", was released in 2003 by Rivel Records. Previous releases also include the self-financed EP "Songs of Solomon" from 2001. Last year, PANTOKRATOR did a small European tour through Switzerland, Germany and Holland, and also played at the Gates of Metal festival in Sweden.
